Are these hats 100% made in the USA?
Our fully USA-made hats from Royal Apparel feature either our laser-etched patches or direct embroidery. All of our hats are designed and finished by our team right here in Raleigh, NC and every patch is hand-stitched with care to make sure it looks great and lasts. 

Where are the these USA made hat fabrics sourced from?
Royal Apparel hats are made using both domestic and imported yarns. All aspects of production including fabric knitting, dyeing, cutting, hat sewing, and final product quality control are completed in facilities located in the USA.

Why are these hats more expensive than others?
We spent years looking for Made in the USA hats that meet our standards and Royal Apparel stood out. Their commitment to quality and support for local jobs comes at a higher price, but the difference from other US-made hats we tested is clear. The Royal Apparel hats are well-made and consistent, which makes it easier for our Raleigh team to stitch patches on straight and helps us create something we are proud of.

This price point is a bit high for me. Are there any other options available?
To help with your budget, we’re happy to share other options such as hats made in specific countries outside the USA or ones made abroad with ecofriendly materials or with traceable supply chains. Just let me know what you’d like to see!

Are there any other Made in the USA hat options? I don’t see the hat style or color that I like from Royal Apparel.
We’ve tested many USA-made hat options and right now these two are the only ones available to us that meet our high standards. But we’re always on the lookout for new styles! If there’s a specific style of USA-made hat you’re interested in, we’d love to hear your thoughts. 

How does the Royal Apparel Lowstyle trucker compare to the R112 or R115 hat?
The trucker that Royal Apparel offers is low profile so it would be more similar to the R115 trucker from Richardson. You can learn more about hat profiles at our blog here. The Royal Apparel option fits a bit different than the Richardson trucker but we have found it fits a wide variety of head sizes.
